Costs

Adults

For adults (18 years and older) treatment within the specialized mental health care (SGGZ) is covered by (Dutch) health insurance.

KSP does not have any contracts with Dutch health insurance agencies. Depending on your insurance, treatment is fully or partially (usually around 80%) covered. It is advised to contact your health insurance agency prior to the treatment, to check how much of the costs is covered.

Treatment within the SGGZ falls under the DBC (Diagnosis Treatment Combination)-system. Due to this system, the total costs of the treatment will only be known after the treatment (or after one year). The tariffs are set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority and can be found here.

In order to get reimbursed you need a valid referral note and a DSM-5 diagnosis needs to be set.

A valid referral note clearly states a referral to the SGGZ, the presumed DSM-5 diagnosis and the referrer’s AGB Code.

If you wish to come into treatment without going through your insurance agency (in this case a valid referral or diagnosis isn’t necessary) the costs of the treatment are €165,- per hour.

Children and adolescents

For children and adolescents (younger than 18 years) treatment within the specialized mental health care (SGGZ) is covered by the municipality.

KSP does not have any contracts with Dutch municipalities. It is advised to contact your municipality prior to the treatment, to check whether you can apply for reimbursement. This is usually possible through a PGB (personal budget).
